With Andean Green Needle organic green tea we have expanded our offerings of pure teas from the Colombian Andes. With lofty elevations, at about 1800 m, and rich soil, our partners here have been crafting certified Organic teas of wonderful character.
This green tea recalls a Sencha - a shade or two milder with a more pronounced sweetness. We recommended low temperature water to bring out the sweet notes of this tea.
DRY LEAF: Wiry, needle-like leaf with fair amount of silver tips and aroma of green mangoes and gooseberries.
CUP: Pale yellow with fresh notes of sweet peas, chest nut and grass. Light umami. A touch of mineral on the palate that balances well with the subtle but pure and clean flavors. A long pleasant finish.
1 tsp or 2.5 gm per 8 oz cup

This is my first internet purchase from Happy Earth Tea. The order was promptly shipped and I received a surprise sample pack with a nice thank you note in the order. When in Rochester early this fall searching for local tea shops I found Happy Earth Tea. This place had the best selection. Their employees are knowledgeable of the different types of green tea which are my favorite. Very friendly service. Yes, I will be ordering more until I'm back in town then I'll stop in.
Robert, thanks so much for the positive feedback. We try our best to offer a wide variety of tea but more importantly, we care about building relationships with people. Thanks for becoming part of our world. Stay well!
I tried this tea at the bar, just to get a taste. It is very good! You would very easily think it is a Japanese tea if you weren't told otherwise. Give it a try and see what you think!
Greg, we were happily surprised too with the lovely tasting profile of this tea. Glad you are enjoying it. Stay well!
I love this tea hot and iced.
