Andean Black Premier, Colombian Organic Black Tea
5DESCRIPTION
An exceptional organic Colombian black tea with an intriguing flavor profile and a refined smoothness that will not disappoint. Expertly crafted by our friends at the Bitaco Tea Estate located on the western slope of the Andes mountains. The tea is grown in rich volcanic soil at elevations of 1,800-2,000 M. Bitaco has been growing and manufacturing tea for over 50 years but in 2013 they collaborated with Darjeeling tea growers to change their manufacturing processes which has resulted in the production of some very fine teas.
DRY TEA: Long, dark grey wiry leaves with moderate tips. Clean and uniform reflecting a high quality picking. Aroma of chocolate and dark raisins with hints of pepper.
WET LEAF: Dark mahogany leaves with a nose of blackberry, cacao and white pepper.
CUP: A rich russet liquor with notes of cacao, caramel and roasted nuts. Silky smooth.
