DESCRIPTION

Himalayan Spring from the famous Nepali tea farm, Jun Chiyabari is finally here! Made in the early part of spring this delightful tea comes with fresh vegetal and floral flavors. Mellow and well balanced with a sweet finish. Highly recommended!  

DRY LEAF: Lightly rolled wiry leaves with abundant full of tips. Sweet grassy and wildflower notes.
WET LEAF: Yields an olive green hue with sweet peach and floral nose.
CUP: A pale amber cup with a sweet floral and fresh green aroma. Brisk, clean, mellow, rounded and well balanced. Sweet finish.

ORIGIN

Jun Chiyabari, established in 2001, is an organic tea garden in the eastern Himalayan region of Nepal. Located in the hills around the small town of Hile in Dhankuta district North 27o 01' East 087o 19' at an altitude of 1600-2000 meters / 5000-6000 feet above sea level. This is approximately 200 km east from Kathmandu; 55 km west of Ilam in Nepal and 65 km west of Darjeeling, India.

2022 Jun C exceeds expectations. Another banner year.

2021 Jun C was a spectacular year. I was eagerly awaiting 2022 Jun C . It took a few days to get the perfect combination of amount of tea and steeping but I finally found my perfect cup for 2022. So kudos to Niraj and the team at Jun C and Happy Earth. No matter how famous he becomes and fancy TV shows he gets to do, I will expect a years supply of the best estate set aside. So folks we may not be able to travel to south Asia, but Nepal comes to us. Rain, potatoes, channa, bhel puri and tea and we can pretend we are at hill station in India or Pakistan. One day Niraj will serve Mumbai street food at Happy earth. He can have all my recipes. (secret ingredients curry pata and kala namak)
