Purple tea is a special cultivar whose leaves are reddish-purple yield a unique vegetal-fruity flavor.

Made from a spring 2007 harvest, the cake is composed of high percentage of the buds. This full-bodied tea has notes of mushroom, apricot and wet earth. Later steeps reveal a sweet milky accents. This pu-erh has aged well, much of which was done in Jinggu a warm and humid region in southern Yunnan.

A very enjoyable tea that is easy to steep.

Use a gaiwan or a small yixing/ ceramic pot to steep this tea.
Use around 5-6 grams for a 150 ml gaiwan. Keep the steeping time long, around 5-10 seconds for the early rounds.
