With Andean Green Needle we have expanded our offerings of pure teas from the Colombian Andes. With lofty elevations, at about 1800 m, and rich soil, our partners here have been crafting certified Organic teas of wonderful character.
This green tea recalls a Sencha - a shade or two milder with a more pronounced sweetness. We recommended low temperature water to bring out the sweet notes of this tea.
DRY LEAF: Wiry, needle-like leaf with fair amount of silver tips and aroma of green mangoes and gooseberries.
CUP: Pale yellow with fresh notes of sweet peas, chest nut and grass. Light umami. A touch of mineral on the palate that balances well with the subtle but pure and clean flavors. A long pleasant finish.
1 tsp or 2.5 gm per 8 oz cup
