Spring 2020 was a markedly cold season which led to the Baozhong acquiring fragrances that recall high mountain oolongs.
The Baozhong from Wenshan mountains, located in northern Taiwan, is some of the best oolong tea in its style that we have had. A beautiful floral fragrance with a creamy touch and a clean taste make this a choice spring tea.
DRY LEAF: Small, wiry leaves a sweet floral and a creamy fragrance. Light oxidation on the edges.
INFUSED LEAF: The leaves are smaller denoting the early spring pick. A beautiful floral nose.
CUP: The liquor is pale yellow and clean. High in floral notes. A crispness on the edges. Leaves a lingering freshness in the mouth.
Use 1 heaping tbsp for 8 oz cup
Water temp: 170-176 F
Steeping time: 2-3 mins

Baozhong Wenshan 2020 has a very green, lightly floral taste and aroma I find very pleasing. Another quality tea to add to my growing collection.
