A shino chawan (tea bowl) from Mino, an area in Japan famous for this type of stoneware. This light weight tea bowl comes with an orchid hand-painted on it. This is a summer chawan with a "citrus skin". According to the note by the potter, Shozaburo Takada, you might notice some moisture on the outer wall of the tea bowl during initial use. But this will stop on its own after some usage "as the clay hardens." The bumpy texture will also change over time.
Weight: 9.6 oz
The bowl will come in a special wooden box signed by the artist.
