A popular black tea from Fujian Province of China, the Golden Monkey Black tea is a medium to light body, with cacao-like notes mixed in with ripe figs and dark honey. It is hard not to be happy with its smooth texture and a lovely sweet and nutty after taste.

DRY LEAF: Wiry medium size leaf with ample amount of golden tips. (It is preponderance of golden tips in this tea that inspires the name Golden Monkey.)  Lovely cacao-like aroma.

WET LEAF: Lovely bud sets of one bud and single leaf is revealed. The nose is sweet  with notes of honey and roasted peanuts.

CUP: Dark amber cup with sweet aroma of dry fruits and honey. Smooth body with lingering sweet aftertaste. Highly enjoyable.

Golden Monkey, Happy Me

This tea is a fantastic find, introduced this past season. I have fallen in love. I particularly enjoy the round, smooth, and sweet on the palate flavor. A definite happy tea drinker am I when Golden Monkey is in my cup.

Wonderful Daily Drink!

When Happy Earth Tea ran out of Ceylon Black Tea, Mary gave me a sample to try in November 2021. When I returned home, I tried the sample and wanted more so I purchased a 2.6 oz. I love the taste. Drinking this tea reminds me of the Chinese Monkey King legend.

love this new tea!

I find myself choosing Golden Monkey nearly every morning, even though we have many other delicious teas from Happy Earth Tea to pick from. It is just delicious with or without milk!
