For those of you unfamiliar with this Darjeeling tea garden it is the reincarnation of Vah Takvar, an old garden that had gone defunct in the 1990s. It has been revived and has in recent years been making some wonderful teas. We are excited to be presenting our first Shree Dwarika to you!
DRY LEAF: Tippy and aromatic of fully bloomed hyacinth mixed with freshly cut grass and pepper.
INFUSION: A fragrant nose of peach, spiced rum and candied almonds.
CUP: A light amber cup with a full bright body of floral and slightly woody notes. A sweetness of raisin and maple sugar follow in the aftertaste. A deep and long lasting taste of dried fruit and brown sugar linger in the back of throat long after drinking.
1 tbsp (2gm) for 8-12 oz cup
Shree Dwarika is located close to Darjeeling town. Spread over 300 acres, this garden affords a stunning view of Mt Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world. It used to be part of the oldest Darjeeling tea company, Lebong Tea Company.
