We are excited to bring back Himalayan Royale Ruby from the organic Nepal tea estate of Jun Chiyabari. Made only in small batches, we rank this tea among the best in the world and are privileged to share it with you. It is made from cultivars with a distinguished lineage, drawing on heritage varieties from Taiwan, Japan, China, and Myanmar.

DRY LEAF: Well rolled leaves with a sweet aroma of plum and chocolate. The colors are varied grey, brown and gold.

WET LEAF: Brown with some olive green. Fragrant cedar, spice and apricot notes on the nose.

CUP: Dark amber with a heady fruity, floral and nutty notes. Warm layers of elegant flavors that recall a top notch Oriental Beauty from Taiwan. Elegantly smooth and the long, sweet finish is immensely satisfying.

ORIGIN

Jun Chiyabari, established in 2001, is an organic tea garden in the eastern Himalayan region of Nepal. Located in the hills around the small town of Hile in Dhankuta district North 27o 01' East 087o 19' at an altitude of 1600-2000 meters / 5000-6000 feet above sea level. This is approximately 200 km east from Kathmandu; 55 km west of Ilam in Nepal and 65 km west of Darjeeling, India.
