Tea Class Advanced - Gong Fu

Sign up for an advanced tea class that will focus on gong fu cha, the traditional Chinese style of brewing tea in a gaiwan or small tea pot.  We’ll discuss and sample a variety of oolong and pu-erh teas.

Classes will be held on Sunday, October 3 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and Sunday, October 24 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at 696 South Avenue. The same content will be covered in both sessions. Limited to only 8 vaccinated people. 

*Cancellation later than 48 hours before the class will be non-refundable.

Insightful

While I was familiar with gong fu I learned quite a few nuggets of information I hadn’t know prior. The class was similar to the introductory class on the tea types but more focus on the teas that lend themselves to gong fu. I would love to partake in more advanced classes that look beyond some of the introductory elements but this class is definitely a phenomenal one for those who wish to learn about gong fu cha.

Still great even the second time around

I went to this tea class before but despite that, when I heard a few openings were available last minute, I jumped on the chance to go again. Even though I knew way more about tea than when I went the first time months and months ago, I STILL learned new things from Niraj and was even able to provide an additional example of teaware in the form of my travel shiboridashi kit. All in all I would highly recommend going to one of the tea classes if you want to learn more about tea. Niraj is such a knowledgeable person on tea and is always willing to answer questions.

An Amazing Course!

I wasn't sure this class would be so great - things like this tend to be a little textbook and scripted, but it was nothing like that. Niraj knows his tea and talks about it in a natural and easily-understandable way. The whole evening was much more fascinating than I hoped it would be!

I learned soooo much!

This class was informative and calming at the same time. After a hectic day of work and rushing to get to class, the teas tasted, the relaxed setting and the knowledge shared calmed me done and brought peace. I walked way knowing so much more than I entered with and plan to go again to learn even more. Highly recommend this to all!
