Himalayan Sunshine - a first flush 2020 Nepal tea

Today, we have a very special new tea, Himalayan Sunshine, for you! This tea was produced earlier this spring by Jun Chiyabari tea estate (Organic), our partners in Nepal who are incredibly committed to crafting exceptional teas while protecting the environment. In a place like Nepal, where the eco-system is fragile and many local people rely heavily on their own subsistence farming, using sustainable and earth-friendly tea growing practices, makes a dramatic difference.  We applaud Jun Chiyabari’s long standing efforts to protect the soil, water, and air.

After several months, this glorious tea arrived on our doorstep after being stuck in the Himalayan nation because of the pandemic.  We hope and pray for our family and friends in this part of the world where the challenges of health care and economics are huge.

Himalayan Sunshine is a lovely tea - light bodied with fruity notes and a hint of wildflowers.  It is like drinking a little ray of sunshine in your cup.  May this tea remind you to persevere and find hope in small daily rituals. Take care of yourself and each other.
