Colombian Consensus, Organic Black Tea and Coffee Blend
A daring combination of black tea and coffee from Colombia that hits the mark! A masterful blend of high-mountain black tea and premium coffee that pleases the palate while satisfying your craving for both beverages in a single cup. This tea is a great option to migrate from coffee to tea.
Expertly crafted by our friends at the Bitaco Tea Estate located on the western slope of the Andes mountains. This organic black tea is grown in rich volcanic soil at elevations of 1,800-2,000 M. Bitaco has been growing and manufacturing tea for over 50 years but in 2013 they collaborated with Darjeeling tea growers to change their manufacturing processes which has resulted in the production of some very fine teas.
DRY LEAF: Long wiry leaves and whole roasted coffee beans. A rich and complex aroma - in perfect harmony.
WET LEAF: Leaves turn dark brown and the tea nose is still prominent amidst the coffee aroma.
CUP: The liquor is amber with a golden tinge. Notes of coffee and berries blend in well with the malt of the tea and subtle tannins. On the palate warm roasted coffee notes come to the forefront, followed by the tea flavors. It’s a miracle blend!
