No more Imperial in the names.
We have decided to drop the word Imperial from our tea names. Although, the term is meant to suggest superior quality it has not sat well with me, as the founder of the company. Being born and lived half my life in India, a country that was colonized for nearly 200 years, the term Imperial unfortunately has a seriously negative connotation. Admittedly, the realization has been a bit slow in coming.
The two teas whose names have changed are Himalayan Imperial Black and Earl Grey Imperial. The new names are Himalayan Black and Earl Grey Supreme. Rest assured the tea is the same; there has been no compromise on the quality.
With the "historical baggage" gone you perhaps might find the tea even more enjoyable!
