Originally cultivated by the Guarani people of southern Brazil, yerba mate, combined with this zesty, aromatic Indian spice blend, is sure to put some rhythm in your step.

Ingredients: Organic Yerba Mate, organic ginger, organic cardamom, organic clove, organic cinnamon


1 tsp for a 8-12oz cup.

Water Temp: 212F

Steeping time: 3-5 mins

Samba Chai

Long time fan of this tea :) I do remember the tea being a bit spicier, but maybe I'm not brewing enough tea for the amount of water I use. Still very pleasant to drink!

Amazing flavors

Simply the best Chai tea I've tasted. Full body, great aroma, and that little "zing" you hope for with chai. Handles milk well but I prefer just to drink it plain. Highly superior to any tea-bag grocery store version, and well-worth the price if you do the $/oz math!

I was introduced to HappyEarthTea and it's tea-expert Niraj through Cody Kroll, and I am not disappointed. This chai is as bold and complex as the ingredients itself. Sipping on it there is differences in the flavors you taste depending on how hot-cool the water temperature is used. I've tended to go for the boiling water method and let it steep to a warm/luke warm drinking temp. When I taste it, that slight bitterness of Yerba Mate followed by cloves and at the end that zing of ginger. At hotter temperatures for some reason I taste the cinnamon right away followed by a quick zing of ginger. At cool temps, it's immediate cardamon followed by yerba mate bitterness and zing of ginger. As we are in the fall season, I can see myself drinking this in such weather and would be perfect to sip right after being outside in the cold snowy winter. If ginger is not your thing (as it is more for me), dare I say (Gasp...) add rock sugar to it. I haven't done this yet and I don't intend to.
