Formerly known as Himalayan Imperial Black. Read the reason for the change. It does not have to do with quality.

Indulge in the excellence of a second flush organic black tea hailing from Nepal's Jun Chiyabari tea estate. This best-selling tea boasts a robust body and is brimming with the delectable essences of molasses, cinnamon and almonds. For those in search of a potent yet elegantly velvety tea, this organic Himalayan Black tea presents an impeccable choice.

DRY LEAF: Long wiry leaves with an unusual crispness for teas from the Himalayas. Recalls wuyi rock oolong tea in appearance, but with more finer leaves. Rich aroma of dark chocolate and caramel.

INFUSION: The leaves appear cocoa brown with a nose of chocolate, caramel and spice.

CUP: The liquor is dark honey with a sweet fruity fragrance. A delicate creaminess coats the palate with rich notes of molasses, cinnamon and almonds. Long sweet aftertaste.

Lovely tea

I am not an aficionado by any means, but I love this tea. I won’t even attempt to attach any descriptors because I’m sure they would be incorrect.

Another superb tea from one of my favorite estates

Brewing gong fu with the water not so hot, very rich and bold, the cooler the water I get florals and a pronounced bergamot which I very much enjoy (almost picked up a bag of their earl greay today;) .. the first time I’ve ever felt inebriation from tea (it’s lighter than alcohol and fleeting but undeniable), I thought the term “tea has *****” was kind of silly.. a way of describing caffeine and the way theanine interacts with it and the overall relaxation and other benefits yea gives but I am very surprised, 10/10 would definitely buy again and much love to the purveyors who are always so kind, ty
