Meditation & Tea with Amy Jo — Saturday, September 19
There's a moment most of us skip. The cup is warm in your hands, and then somehow it's empty — and you couldn't really say what you tasted. Tea makes a good teacher for exactly that reason. It's ordinary, it asks very little of us, and it rewards whatever attention we bring to it.
Join us at the shop on Saturday, September 19 for a 45-minute Meditation & Tea session led by Amy Jo of Bodhi Tree Yoga.
We'll begin with some very gentle stretches and movement — standing and seated in a chair — to settle into the body and wake up the senses. Then we'll spend the rest of our time simply drinking tea: taking in the aroma, the warmth, the taste, and bringing our attention back, gently, each time it wanders off. That returning, again and again, is the practice.
No prior meditation experience needed, and no special outfit or equipment. Just wear something comfortable — we'll be seated in chairs the whole session. Tea is provided.
