Harvested for just a few days each spring, this tea is made exclusively from the unopened buds of the tea plant—picked by hand at the peak of their tenderness.

Each bud is covered in fine, silvery down, giving this tea its name: Silver Needle.

Because only the youngest buds are used—and yields are extremely limited—this is one of the most prized and labor-intensive teas in the world.

Our certified organic Silver Needle white tea comes from Menghai region of Yunnan Province in China. This tea has mild notes of honeydew complemented by soft earthy notes. Although delicate, the tea is flavorful and makes several steeps possible.
