White Peony is one of China's most beloved white teas, offering a beautiful balance between delicacy and depth. Unlike Silver Needle, which is crafted solely from unopened buds, White Peony is traditionally made from a tender bud and one or two young leaves. This careful plucking gives the tea greater body while preserving the gentle character that white tea is known for.

Our White Peony is sourced from Zhenghe in Fujian Province, a region with a long and celebrated history of white tea production. The leaves are naturally withered and slowly air-dried, a traditional process that allows their subtle aromas and sweetness to develop with minimal intervention.

MORE DETAILS

The cup brews to a warm golden-amber liquor with a silky, almost velvety texture. Notes of wildflower honey, ripe melon, and fresh hay unfold gradually, finishing with a lingering sweetness that invites another sip. Its smooth, rounded character makes it an excellent introduction to white tea, while offering enough complexity to reward seasoned tea drinkers.

A wonderfully versatile tea, White Peony is equally enjoyable on its own or alongside light meals and fresh fruit.
