Kabusecha - Shade Grown Sencha (Organic)
Kabusecha is a Japanese shade-grown green tea tea which is in between a sencha and gyokuro in terms of quality. The tea bushes for Kabusecha is shaded for one to two weeks before harvest. (Gyokuro is shaded for at least 20 days.)
The aroma of the tea is bold but the flavors are mellow and rounded. A light vegetal nuttiness on an umami base make this a pleasure to drink.
The cultivar for this tea is okumidori.
