Kamairicha - pan-fried Japanese green tea (Organic)
Kamairicha is a green tea from Japan that is made using the Chinese method of pan-frying the tea leaves. The result is a mild tea with floral and nutty flavors in contrast to the regular Japanese green tea character.
In Japan the green teas are traditionally made by steaming the leaf. This not only imparts a vivid green color to the tea but also produces the distinct savory quality.
Kamairicha on the other hand recalls light floral oolongs. The body is mild, has sweet notes. Over all a very pleasant tea.
